Return and Exchange Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, Janine Marie offers a money back guarantee. All Janine Marie products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. If our products do not measure up to this standard, Janine Marie will either repair or replace the defective products. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or abuse as determined by Janine Marie. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, please return the item within 14 days of the shipping date for an exchange or refund, provided the items are unused, unwashed, with all original tags attached, and free of defects. No returns or exhanges are offered on sale items. If this policy is not followed, we will only accept returns at our discretion. Please note returns will only be accepted for items purchased at Janine-Marie.com, items purchased at a retail shop, department store, or specialty store may not be returned to Janine Marie, please return these items to the place of purchase. Exchange and return policies are subject to change without notice and do not apply to wholesale orders.
Returns for Refund
Return credits take approximately five to seven days to process after receipt. Refunds will only be made in the manner in which the payment was made for the value of the merchandise and any sales tax you may have been charged. Please note we cannot refund any shipping charges.
Returns for Exchange
Exchanges are made for the value of the returned mechandise and depending on the new item choice additional charges may apply. Your new item choice will be shipped when available. If the requested item is out of stock, we will notify you by email of its expected ship date. If you do not wish to wait, we will be happy to issue you a refund or store credit. Please note that exhanged items will be subject to an additional shipping charge billed in the same manner as the original payment.
How to Return Merchandise
Without exception, returns must first obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) from Janine Marie prior to returning the merchandise. All requests will be processed after our returns department inspects and verifies the condition of the returned mechandise. Please call Janine Marie customer service at our toll free number (877) 751-6063 or use the online contact form to contact us. Return Authorization's expire 7 days after being issued. Returns must be sent UPS, Federal Express, Express Mail, or Priority Mail and we suggest you send the merchandise by registered or insured mail since Janine Marie is not responsible for items lost or damaged while shipping. Please note we can not accept COD deliveries. Clearly print your name, address and RA# on the outside of the package in the return area and mail to:

Shipping charges shown during check out and in the confirmation email are estimated charges, prior to shipping your items Janine Marie reserves the right to change the Shipping and Handling charge.

Janine Marie uses Federal Express, Ground and occassionaly USPS to ship our products. We make every effort to have accurate shipping costs from our these shipping companies; however, numerous factors can result in estimated shipping charges that are inaccurate:
 • We have the most recent Federal Express shipping data, however, Federal Express can change their fee schedule at anytime.
 • Federal Express adds a surcharge for all shipments to a residential address, we reserve the right to add this surcharge to your order total based on Federal Express's determination of a residential address.
 • Recent gas prices has also added a fuel surcharge to all shipping costs which we can not esimtate, we reserve the right to add a fuel surcharge to your order.
 • If the actual shipping cost differs greatly from the estimated charge Janine Marie will inform you of the new total via email confirmation.

Additional shipping information:
 • Federal Express does not ship to P.O. Boxes.
 • Orders are shipped Mondays - Fridays, from the San Francisco - Bay Area.
 • Orders are shipped as the product becomes available.
 • Additional shipping charges will apply for orders that have multiple shipments.
 • When your item is shipped we may notifiy you by email.  • Shipping charges are not refundable.

Your credit card information is safe when you shop on our website. When you input your credit card number at checkout a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection using 128-bit encryption hides your credit card information along with your other order information and sends it to us through a secure server. We use the highest level of encryption available on the Internet. You can check the security of your connection during checkout, look for the unbroken key or a closed lock which indicates SSL is active. You can click on the icon to view our Secure Digital Certificate.

We collect applicable sales tax only for items that are delivered to a location within the State of California.

 • If items are delivered to an address outside California, no tax is added to the sale total.
 • If items are delivered to an address within California, a state tax of 7.25% is added to the sale total.
 • If items are delivered to an address within San Francisco, CA, a city tax is added to the state tax and an 8.50% tax is added to the sale total.

Janine Marie operates a design and manufacturing studio, we do not have retail space at our location. Usually we are present during normal business hours (California time) however there are times when no one is available to greet a customer at the studio. Customers can arrange to pick-up their orders or view our products at the design studio, but arrangements must be made in advance. Please contact us using the online contact form or by telephone to arrange a meeting time.

The pictures of fabrics and bags that you see on our website are photographs we've taken of each individual item. The colors and tones that you see on your screen may vary slightly from the actual fabric or product depending on the ambient light in the room during the photograph, the tilt, color and contrast settings of your computer monitor. Every effort has been made to ensure that our photographs are color balanced correctly and show our products as they truly appear in person. We carefully write our descriptions to reinforce the same standard.

Janine Marie respects your privacy. We will never share, sell, rent or distribute our customers information to anyone for any reason (except as required by law). When placing a purchase or when using our online contact form, if you check, "Please add me to your mailing list" then occasionally, Janine Marie may contact you by regular mail or by email with new product announcements or shows in which Janine Marie is participating. We currenlty send less than 2 web mailings per year.

Other vendors may also be included in a mailing -- to reduce our costs Janine Marie often participates in events with other vendors whom we have a close and personal relationship. We have not shared your information with the other vendor, Janine Marie included their information in our mailing as a courtesy.

Emailed invitations will contain our studio address, phone number and a link to be removed from our mailing list; if you wish to be removed at any other time please us the online contact form and state in the Comments/Questions box that you would like to be removed.
